Woke up Saturday morning and weighed myself.
173.5 pounds.
Had a great workout at 10 AM, drank a liter and a half of water during my workout, then had a shake afterwards. At 11:30 I weighted myself again.
177 pounds.
I then showered and ran some errands to get ready for a family party. At 5 PM I weighed myself again.
172.5 pounds.
The family party started, it was awesome, the food was great. Just before bed I stepped on the scale
178.5 pounds.
Sunday morning I weighed myself.
174 pounds.
So how much do I weigh? the empty morning weight seems the most reasonable, or at least the most consistent… but the other body weights are more valid real-life weights. More importantly, why get so caught up in this number?
Your body weight is ideally stated as a range. Ignoring this fact sets you up for unneeded stress caused by fluctuation in a number that has no choice but to fluctuate.
Your body weight is always changing… every minute of every day.
If you’d like you can pick a range of weights, compare it to some measurements (waist circumference and shoulder circumference) and compare this with how you feel.
Just remember, your body weight is not a static number, its changing all the time, don’t let these fluctuations get you down.
