Unbelievably, I’m STILL recovering from Vegas.
It was a whirl-wind trip, and it was my first weekend away with Heather since the kids were born.
Great times, great food, great people.
But, I was also ‘working’.
Working in the fact that I made sure that I went to see the BODIES exhibit at the Tropicana Resort.
Now, I’ve seen dissections before, but NOTHING like these.
(Bodies is a series of human cadavers put on display..kinda gross, but very educational)
It was the most fascinating display of human physiology I have EVER seen.
Especially when you realize what we look like with all the fat (and skin) stripped away -
WE ALL LOOK LIKE SUPER HEROES!
…All of us.
(maybe not EXACTLY like this…but you get the idea)
There is a certain uniformity to the human body.
Strip away the skin and fat and we all look very similar. and, there is something stunningly beautiful about our form. Thanks to the aesthics of proportion, underneath it all, we all have killer bodies.
So here’s the deal, this is what I learned at the Bodies exhibit:
Every single one of us has a super-hero body….it’s just ‘hidden’
For some, it’s really hidden…for others it’s almost there….But it IS there.
So if you’ve been down on your motivation…and are afraid of ‘getting ready for summer’ remember -
There’s a super-hero body in there, you just have to let it out.
And the easiest way to do that is to eat less and lift more.
Strip away the fat and see what you’re left with!
Bottom Line – We ALL have a super hero body, and the easiest way to reveal it is to find a way to eat less (and workout hard).
I’m betting if you give Eat Stop Eat a try, you’ll realize it’s easily the simplest, most effective ‘diet’ you’ll ever try.
As a final note, it was a great feeling to go somewhere warm and NOT have to diet for 8 weeks before hand. With Eat Stop Eat I was
able to just ‘show up’, and be happy with the way I looked.
(Of course I was pasty white, but that’s part of being a Canadian in Vegas)

AWESOME article!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend …
I saw that exhibition when it came to Australia. It was cool! One thing I saw immediately is that there is no upper, middle or lower pec…. it’s just one complete pectoralis muscle. Every wannabe bodybuilder should go to one of those exhibitions and learn how muscles REALLY work.
Hi Brad,
Glad you are having a great time with Barban & Co in Vegas.
I looked in more detail into the Bodies exhibition, it looks awesome! too bad it’s not down under in Australia.
Cheers,
Mike

Brad I think you might like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJew4fxHl1U
We need someone to write a nutrition version of this…not me…my music skills are limited…but someone needs to do it.

I finally took your advice and I am now keeping my weight loss and diet plan to MYSELF. I was the one that was using Fatsecret. I was the one saying they were cruel before – then they went into my journal and started cutting and pasting things to make me look like a fool.
I have moved my journal to my own desktop. The journaling itself is therapeutic. Having people critique my diet plan constantly – and constantly tell me I was turning into an anorexic – wasn’t. I know that monster because my mother is an anorexic. (Ironically this was someone who weight 250 pounds. Granted I am pretty big – but then again – I don’t run around bashing other peoples eating habits either. I am not poking fun at fat people here because I am still in that group. -Well hopefully you get what I am saying here.
What Eat Stop Eat has done for me has been fantastic. Before whenever I was attacked like that the first thing I would have done (literally) was cry into whatever comfort food was closest. This time – when the attack started I was fasting. My knee jerk reaction as to go BUY the ice cream! (Because we don’t keep it around anymore.) But instead I went to the kitchen with my son and we DID make some calorie free ice pops together. Frozen sugar free kool-aid. While I was preparing this it gave me time to think – why am I trying to eat right now? So I stuck the pops in the freezer, and got out the HOME journaling program my husband bought me.
And I made it through my fast fine! (I did get an hour extra exercise though – I decided if I was going to sit around and cuss this women in my head I might as well do it on my bike. and afterwards – I FELT BETTER! AND I did not eat due to my anger.)
This has been an enormous break through. Though many of us has a problem getting support – I am learning how to support MYSELF so I don’t have to depend on THEM!
Hi Brad,
I wrote a little something on my poor neglected blog about ESE and how it changed my life.
I am excited to see that the intermittent fasting info is getting out there to some of my favorite blogs. I have often triggered heated exchanges when I suggest ESE in lieu of the meal timing programs most fitness people subscribe to.
2 years and going strong! I still use IF and can not imagine not doing it.
Anyway, nobody reads my blog but I wanted to respond to a post on another blog about ESE and I felt compelled to include photos of my results with IF.

Dear Brad,
i cant tell u how much ESE has changed my life, from OC eating and second perfect meals to living happy,
so your opinion is the only one i consider in the fitness world,
thats why i want to ask you about water retention, is it really serious, does really hide definition? should we pay attention to see what foods make u “bloat”? (inspired by your milk post).. i’m just curious as i’ve read almost all of your posts here and everywhere on the web but i never saw something related to it..
thanks alot for everything!

HI Brad
Great post. I have seen the show twice, so amazing to see the human body stripped down and the real working of the muscles. I just found your site yesterday, thanks to Mike Groom. I’m on my first fast and feeling great..off to the gym now and am curious to see how I will feel doing hit cardio and squats. Thanks again! You book really opened my eyes. I have read of the benefits of fasting before but you really broke it down!
