Diet Book Review

The truth is, I’m having a crazy  busy day…funny how Monday’s are like that.

But, I really wanted to write a post about diet books today, and I had a point that I REALLY wanted to share with you, but I simply did not have  enough time to write a nice wordy post…so I quickly jotted some notes down and realized that they had almost formed some sort of really poor  haiku.

…so smiled and had some fun with it.

I hope you like it.

The thing with Diet Books -

They all have to have a catch

This part is what sells.

Eat less and move more

The truth with no hook, no catch.

No secret science.

Hormones and Enzymes

Make for great diet book titles

but the truth remains -

Eat less and move more.

So simple and so true. I think people always look and expect a complicated answer that when they are told “eat less and move more” it almost doesn’t register or click… and they keep asking & keep searching like its a mystery…..little do they know, all you got to do is “eat less and move more” thanks BP for taking time to research and share your knowledge.

HATE HATE HATE the new layout. i really like to IGNORE the twitter (narcissism central IMO) link & the marketing for the books (already have them, don’t need to stare at ad constantly), now they are on the left and THE FIRST THING YOU SEE. in addition, as you read, your eye automatically goes to the very left of the screen after finishing a line, thus you keep focusing on it OVER AND OVER. I would rather focus on the TEXT of the blog, thanks very much. All I can think of is that some brainiac decided: hey, if we put this stuff over to the left, it will be more of the focus of the page, and you’ll sell more! yay! Also, the header bars above the comments are really dark and large, and the text has been shrunk. so, now you see lots of dark stripes (the “pingbacks”, which have no accompanying text, make for a particularly annoying bunch of stripes), and very little, tiny text. oh well, just voicing my opinion. not sure if i will continue to follow the blog, as visuals are important to me, & i am (apparently) easily annoyed. and no, i am not 95 years old, although as i read this, i do sound quite cranky.

I like the audio but do not like the layout of your new blog. For some reason having stuff on the left side messes with me – may be my Western Culture upbringing.

Nice & neat new layout !

    Hey Brad,

I have to agree with the others – I’m not digging the new design.

  15. Yeah this is a much better layout!

  16. Crystal S says:

    Don’t like new layout either…sorry!
Interesting to see how many people are so passionate about the layout of the blog, including me!
You clearly have a very passionate group of followers BP.
