100 Reasons why you should try Eat Stop Eat

The first few are from me, the rest are written by you icon wink 100 Reasons why you should try Eat Stop Eat

1. Obviously, the weight loss.

2. Productivity – (It’s amazing how much we can get done when we aren’t preoccupied with eating every 3 hours)

3. Because if weight loss really is this easy, why not give it a try (It’s easy)

4. You’ve been eating every 3 hours for the last 10,30,50 years off your life, a 24 hour break might do you a lot of good.

5. Every 24 hour fast saves 5-25 dollars that you would have spent on food you really didn’t need to eat in the first place.

6. Every 24 hour fast involves you NOT creating some sort of food packaging waste (Eat Stop Eat is environmentally friendly)

7. Every time you complete a fast, its a mini-victory.

8. It’s a private diet. If you are private person, no one needs to know you are dieting (sure beats carrying around tupperware everywhere you go)

9. It’s flexible!

10. You learn why you eat. It really exposes your eating habits.

OK, that’s my ten, feel free to add on!

    Mine would be:

“You lose fat but don’t lose Muscle”

“You don’t have to buy any supplements to make it work”

  2. Mark says:

    - Because of the burst of energy you’ll have afterwards
    - Because for 24 hours, you can concentrate on something OTHER than eating every 3-6 hours
    - No breakfast or work lunch to prepare = sleep in for 15 minutes!
    - Because you’ll learn what it feels like to really be hungry, and those other “hunger pangs” will be more easily ignored.

    I’m sure I’ll think of others…

  3. Brad Pilon says:

    Another of mine would be

“You might realize you actually like workout fasted better” (at least I did)

  9. Dan says:

    @Cath
    agree completely!

  10. Mine are:

You can lose fat in only 1-2 days instead of having to cut calories for 7 days or more!

You can still eat foods you enjoy, even holiday goodies!

There is good science to back it up

  11. Jessica says:

Because when you DO eat you get to eat REAL FOOD that tastes SO much better than food tasted on a grazing, 300 calories every 2 hours, OMG why am I hungry AGAIN, typical American diet!

  12. It’s brainless! No counting calories, watching portion sizes, worrying about protein/carb ratios, or anything. It’s like dieting on auto-pilot.

  13. Brad Pilon says:

  16. Brian says:

*Because it almost makes you want to try other foods because you aren’t worried about eating so often.

*Because you can enjoy that piece of cake (or whatever you prefer) with your significant other.

*It’s simplier then trying to figure out all kinds of special diets and cheaper then buying special foods for your “diet”.

*The health benefits other then the fat loss…

  17. Implying customer stupidity sure worked for pushing that weird “Weight Loss 4 Idiots” diet … you hear about that one everywhere. LOL

  18. Josh says:

Because man wasnt meant to live on tuna and chicken breasts.

  19. alfred says:

because you never have to feel like a “cheater” ever again. the vicious cycle of guilt and binging.

  21. Grok says:

Your previous fears and mood swings from slipping into a “hypoglycemic” comas while missing one meal will seem RIDICULOUSLY silly.

  26. Chris says:

ha ha, like them all. i’ll add:
    – feel awesome – i’ms fasting today hand i really feel awesome
    – love food more – it seems to taste better i guess absense makes the ….

  27. George says:

In addition to losing Fat, Because of the Satisfaction Feeling of Accomplishing a 24 Hours Fast !!

  28. Anne Siri says:

    - Because you can still eat that lovely, black-brown, fudgy, squishy, crunchy piece of chocolate brownie cake every now and then and still loose weight! (Before ESE, those indulgences tipped the scales in my disfavour, and made the weight creep on even when otherwise eating rather healthily.)

    - Because you may experience that tendencies to heartburn while working out disappears after you start working out fasted (at least that happened to me, no idea if this was coincidential, but I suspect not)

  29. Daniel says:

Would you suggest the ESE method to someone who is already extremely thin and lean (BMI = 20) but who wants to be healthier and feeling better improving digestion, mood and physical resistance?

  30. Dave says:

    Because it works !

  31. 1. Because I never breathe as clearly as I do on fasting days;
    2. Because my skin is clearer than it normally is;

  32. Al S says:

    1. Beacuase ESE is degigned with longevity in mind.
    2. Because everything else that i’ve tried hasn’t worked.

  33. Al S says:

    Designed*

  34. John says:

It’s the only way to investigate your true relationship with food and begin to fix this relationship if you feel that it needs work.

No more sucking at the teat of the “Diet Industry.”

  36. rachel says:

    less inflammation
    more growth hormone
    less food obsession
    more glucagon
    less cooking
more energy ,, sorry brad , tried to make an “eatstopeat” haiku :)

  37. kjtten says:

    @Daniel
I don’t think you’d do yourself any harm at BMI=20 … my guy is BMI=17 and I wouldn’t recommend it for him :)

  38. Erin says:

Because I feel like a friggin’ winner after I complete a fast!

  39. Daniel says:

    @kjtten

Would you suggest just one fast(instead of two) weekly to your guy?
If the fast has such beneficial effects, maybe it is needed by
underweight people to finally gain some healthy weight, by fixing
their organism or something. What do you think?

  40. Louis says:

    1. ESE is the ultimate Anti-Diet!
    2. It’s primal: food is fuel, plain and simple.
    3. Most people are slaves to food. ESE gives us the upper hand.

  41. Omar says:

It works (I’m on my 5th month of ESE and have lost over 10 kilos of fat and 5 inches off my waist – no noticeable muscle loss or strength)

It doesn’t require calorie counting or food weighing

It fits in perfectly with my lifestyle and occupation

It’s free and actually saves me money

    It builds my self-control

It puts me ‘in tune’ with my body

It might make me live longer (see calorie restriction research)

It puts me in a happy mood

    It’s improved my sexual performance

    It makes me more alert

It makes me think clearly and creatively

  42. Rose says:

The best seasoning for food is hunger. All food tastes better.

Because eating is a feast after a fast, I take the time to enjoy it more. I find that I eat slower and in the end, eat less then I did before ESE even on eating days.

Not drinking soda all the time is better for my teeth. (I find I drink less even on nonfasting days.)

I don’t have to plan meals for fasting days… leaving me with more time that isn’t food centric.

    No cheating guilt.. ever.

I never ever ever will have to weight and measure out my food in detail and spend hours looking up points or calories and recording them ever again.

    I save money on food.

I have more energy, especially in the afternoons.

I don’t have to turn down opportunities to have a meal with others out of fear I will go over my budget of calories for the day.

  43. Amanda says:

Because ESE appears to have done in one month what 3 years of endocrinologist visits, weight loss attempts, and prescription drugs have failed to accomplish – regulate my hormones and normalize my cycles. I’m so happy I could cry! Other results – I’ve lost about 4 lbs and 9 inches (overall, but 2 of those inches came off of my waist).

  44. John says:

Because food shopping whilst fasting and then putting it all away, followed by sitting down with a glass of water is a “twisted perversion” you grow to like!

because waiting to break a fast is like a childhood Christmas all again.
