Understanding nutrition and physiology is difficult – and with all of the marketing scams that are appearing in your in-box every morning, eating ‘properly’ can become very confusing.
Metabolism, leptin, protein synthesis, Insulin, calorie cycling, carb cycling, the dreaded ‘starvation mode’ – worrying about all of these things can cause you to lose sleep at night, and can seriously derail your weight loss efforts.
Who can you turn to for help?
You have to blindly assume that the person you are talking to has the necessary education to be able to read AND ANALYZE published research. You also have to assume that the person you are talking to has taken the time to read the whole body of research in that area. You have to assume that the person you are talking to knows whether or not the significant results of a study are relevant in real world applications. You have to assume the person you’re talking to knows how to apply the abstract scientific research to achieve real world results. In other words, can they help YOU lose weight and get in shape, and not just write a fancy “sciency” sounding blog post about it.
Lastly, you have to assume that the person isn’t simply trying to sell you something regardless if it works or not.
So this is what I have to offer you:
I do my best to answer all the emails I get. If you have a quick 2-3 sentence question about fasting or any of my books I am there for you.
However, if you have a more detailed question that requires a couple of paragraphs to fully explain, then I can give you my undivided attention via my 1-on-1 consultations.
My rate is 100 dollars per hour (1 hour minimum). The consultation can take place over email and skype.
If you are on my blog then you know my background. Chances are, I can answer your questions. If I can’t I will either A) find the answer or B) tell you right up front that your question is outside of my area of expertise. – I will not lead you on, or give you half baked theories as answers.
What to expect with my 1-on-1 consultations:
I’ll do my best to answer your question fully and completely – explaining the relevant research as it applies to your question.

- Weight Loss/Fat Loss
I do NOT answer disease-related questions (I’m not a Doctor) nor do I answer exercise or workout design questions (I’m not a personal trainer).
Lastly this is not personal coaching – I do not do personal coaching, (however if you are interested – my colleague John Barban does do personal coaching – you can find it here)
I’m only interested in working with people who will take this seriously and are truly looking for answers.
I’m not interested in ‘changing your mind’ or ‘debating’ My goal is to help you.
